These pages are meant to give parents, community members and staff information about California's State Standards as well as resources to help understand this initiative. Check out the links on the right side of this page to get more information about standards content for different grade levels. If you are interested in seeing what some of the new tests will be like you can take a practice test using one of the links as well. The State Standards are different than the previous standards because the focus is on deeper levels of knowledge that encourage development of students' critical thinking skills.
